GIFFNOCK PRIMARY SCHOOL CENTENARY MURAL

Overview
Giffnock Primary School celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2006.  To mark the occasion, the school’s PTA raised funds to commission a ceramic mural.  The entire school was involved in the process of designing and making the artwork.  The mural contains a wealth of research undertaken by the pupils of key events, inventions and figures from each decade over the last century.  The school had collected photographs dating back to 1906 which were digitally transferred onto tiles and permanently fired on.
